God is the Creator, who planned and designed the heavens and the earth and all that is in them for His divine purposes. He sought people who would turn to Him, believe Him, trust Him, and love Him of their own desire.
The death and resurrection of God’s Son, the promised Christ, was the masterstroke in this plan.
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 (ASV)
Jesus Christ was the full payment for each and all of man’s errors against God thereby giving man the way to live in harmony with God as his heavenly Father. Anyone who believes this message of Christ’s resurrection and lordship accepts God’s loving invitation into the Body of Christ and has eternal life with all of its associated benefits, blessings and promises(Ephesians 1:3).
According to the writings of the first century holy apostles and prophets, God’s desire is that everyone would learn the common faith (Romans 1:5, 16:26) and by it mature into the fullness of God’s purposes. The common faith is the good news of God’s grace and love that is extended to mankind as the result of Christ’s redemptive work, commonly referred to as the gospel. God designed the Body of Christ to be united by thinking and living according to this same doctrine of faith (Ephesians 4:1-3, Romans 15:5, 1 Corinthians 1:10). God has promised the return of the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 1:11, 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18).
When he returns for the Body of Christ, the dead in Christ will rise, then those who are alive at this time will be gathered together to forever be with the Lord. In the end all the rest of mankind will be raised and judged by God and the heavens will be destroyed with intense heat, including the earth and all of its works. God will then make new heavens and a new earth, and all things will be restored as God originally planned (Acts 3:20-21). Finally, all things will be brought into submission to the Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:24-28). He shall reign forever.
